Wedding Bells

, Dracula’s Castle, or vacation villa?

Wherever you chose to travel in the world, private luxury vacation villas are hard to beat.

By Herman Nuncrush

In 2004 it was a very busy and costly year for us the wife and I initially and latterly the family. Wedding bells were peeling loud and clear from Romania to Orlando. Two of my siblings were now feeling it was time to spread their wings and leave the nest. We knew it was going to be costly, having already paid for one full blown church wedding for the youngest to the tune of over £15000.00, four years earlier, but hopefully it was to be a once in a lifetime experience.
The overall plan was to have one ceremony held in the 15th century medieval church in Baia Mare and the other in the extensive grounds of a luxury vacation villa in the heart of Kissimmee and the Disney World attractions.
In mid April the extended family or should I correctly say families 32 people in all set of to Orlando and the Florida sunshine. Not traveling together but separately some with Virgin Atlantic and others with American Airlines. The accommodation was all secured and this consisted of 4 luxury vacation villas, all side by side, within Indian Ridge Oaks and as a bonus just 5 miles from Disney World
Many months of planning were now coming to fruition. The bride was staying at in a beautiful six bedroom luxury villa at Emerald Island Resort, her entourage made up from four bridesmaids 2 page boys and a ring bearer were all in various stages of readiness. Hairdressers, florists, caterer a whole mêlée of helpers, everyone in their own way there to enhance the day and the ensuing celebration.
"The facilities and amenities available at these superb homes are second to none”, said Steve CEO and owner of www.fabvillas.com “What more could you ask for?” Spacious and roomy properties being the hallmark of the villas and vacation homes within this resort. Privacy assured almost every villa comes complete with a private pool, spa, sound system, internet access and a plethora of other luxuries."
Fabvillas concentrates on booking homes, in the popular attraction area corridor of the Orlando attraction area, this is where there is the greatest demand.
Typically, theme park visitors would stay in the motel strip on International Drive, but the more adventurous and those who have grasped the semantics of enjoying the best and tasting champagne living at lemonade prices, they have discovered that this can be achieved by spending their vacation in a luxury villa in these resorts.
"Some people prefer a beach holiday to relax and while away their vacation days." Steve says “and we will be expanding our listings of home to take these tastes into account”.
The tranquility afforded to guests staying in private luxury villas far away from motels with paper thin walls where one has to endue listening your neighbors talking, music banging or shouting in the next or having to put up with the noisy thru the wall air conditioning units constant drone . A vacation rental home gives both privacy and peace."
I bet its expensive to rent a Florida Vacation Home
Few vacationers realize just how cheap it is to rent one of these luxury vacation villas. Many owners started off by experiencing the motel scenario, and then once having been educated, started staying in a villa, and then went on to aspire to becoming a proud owner
It doesn’t take long for people to realize, that to accommodate 8-10 persons (the average in a family group) in a motel at approx $200 per night for ten people – or about $1500 per week – and what do you get? Uncomfortably basic, motel rooms and many of the inherent problems described earlier. These can be typical of Orlando area and other vacation Mecca’s.
Such a family can stay in a vacation house from as little as $900 per week, they would enjoy their own private pool, en-suite bedrooms, laundry facilities, refrigerators, HDTV’s and games rooms these items and facilities are now being considered as the norm and all the things you now take for granted in villas.
Later that same year actually in the height of the summer, my daughters, 2 grandchildren and myself set of from Dover to cross Europe to our final destination Baia Mare in Transylvania the site of Dracula’s Castle. We stayed in one of the two major hotels in the area. The rooms were comfortable although sparsely equipped and how much we missed the luxury and amenities of our Florida villas.
The rooms had the television but limited to 5 channels all in Romanian as opposed to the 300 plus which we had become accustomed to in Florida.
Although this area Mogashal would be magically transformed in the winter being a base for the skiers and snowboarders. That is one advantage that Baia Mare may have over Kissimmee, the ability for vacationers to enjoy the snow, but like many tourist areas why would anybody want to crowd their family into a hotel room or two?
No we have been educated and might I add spoilt.
Orlando, Florida to Baia Mare , Romania, no matter wherever you wander , we have resigned ourselves to travel in style by flying Virgin Atlantic whenever possible and committed to staying in a private vacation rental home, no matter where you go.
